• Financial need as identified by the school
• Merit-based:  Meets school's GPA for good academic standing
• Students must be a current U.S. resident
• Students must reside and attend classes in the Foundation's eight-county service area
• Students will write letters of thanks to the Foundation
• A report of scholarship recipients' courses taken and grades earned in the fall semester will be provided to the Foundation
• Students who received Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio scholarships in 2008-2009 are elgible for renewal; however, this decision rests with the schools at San Antonio College.

Students my complete Foundation scholarship application and include a one-page essay describing why they are pursuing a health care career.  The students must also include examples of their volunteer activities which help our community.

San Antonio College will provide to the Foundation's Scholarship Committee a copoy of the scholarship recipient's application packet.  The school must meet the above requirements to qualify for future scholarship funding

The Foundation will inform the college if the student applications are approved.  At that time, the college will inform the students of the scholarships.
